During his career, which he began with IBM in Toronto, he worked in Saudi Arabia as Consultant, Directory Mechanization, Saudi Telephone (under a Bell Canada Project) from 1987 to 1988. He returned overseas again to be Production Manager, Directories, Saudi Telephone, from 1989 to 1990.
